The short answer? Me.
But what really sets me apart is the experience I create for your Senior.
I keep sessions fun, relaxed, and completely centered around your teen. When they feel comfortable and confident, that’s when the best, most genuine photos happen—and that’s always the goal.
With over a decade of senior photography experience, I know how to guide sessions in a way that feels natural, not forced. I help with outfits, choose locations, and stay open to your Senior’s ideas so their session reflects who they truly are—whether that’s classic, creative, or completely unique.
And while location can add meaning—especially if it’s a place that matters to them—
It’s not the location that makes the photos special. It’s them.
Their personality, their energy, and who they are right now is what makes their images and their gallery truly meaningful.
They’re also always welcome to bring along anything that represents who they are—whether that’s a sport, a hobby, a vehicle, or even a family pet. Those personal touches help make their session unique and truly their own.
I also understand that being in front of a camera can feel intimidating at first. That’s why I keep things light—I joke, I laugh, and help them loosen up so their real personality comes through. Before long, they’re not thinking about the camera at all.
More than anything, I’m there to support them, encourage them, and make sure they feel confident every step of the way.
As a mom, I know just how meaningful this stage of life is. Senior portraits aren’t just photos—they’re a way to hold onto who your teen is right now, in a season that goes by faster than expected. My goal is to give you images that not only look beautiful, but feel like them.
If you’re looking for a personalized, laid-back experience with a photographer who knows how to bring out the best in your Senior, I’d love to be part of this milestone.

With decades of experience behind me, I’ve learned what works—and what truly benefits my clients. I’ve redesigned my packages to focus on delivering the best possible results, while adjusting pricing to better match the level of expertise and consistency I bring to every project.
You’re not just paying for photos—you’re paying for decades of experience, a trained eye, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality results.
Every shoot is backed by years of hands-on work, technical knowledge, and an understanding of lighting, composition, and timing that only comes with experience. From planning to final edits, each step is handled with care and intention to make sure your images turn out the way they should the first time.
My pricing reflects that level of consistency and quality, while still remaining fair and competitive for the work I deliver.
I started photographing seniors way back in 2004, but didn't go professional with it until 2012. In the fall of 2013 I moved from Kansas to Idaho and had one senior, but my son after passed away and I took a hiatus until I started again with the Class of 2021 and ever since then I've just continued to grow my Senior clientele every year. Even going back to Kansas to do Senior shoots in 2023.
So basically for forever.
Booking a photography session is easy. Simply reach out to me through our website, email, or phone, and let me know which package you're interested in. We will then go over the details, locations(if a travel fee needs to be added), and if they need help with outfits or anything.
Once you decide on the package I'll need full names and emails to send out a contract to be signed by you and a parent. After, I'll send out a questionnaire to get to know you better prior to your shoot.
Absolutely, but please be within reason, there's no reason to travel for hours for a location, the photos are about you not the location. While I believe that the location plays a role in capturing unique and personalized photographs, traveling up and down grades or all over isn't something that I recommend. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice(coffee shop, library, bowling alley, high school), I'm 100% open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you.
A travel fee is added if the location is 10 miles outside of the Grangeville Area.
Well, to put it simply, this is my job and my car is apart of my job. Getting from point A to point B not only takes gas, time but it's also wear and tear on my vehicle.
My time is also valuable, it also ensures that I won't be stood up on a shoot.
Depending on the package you choose depends on the allotted time for the session. I will no longer be splitting up shoots for different seasons.
I always post sneak peeks the day or evening of the shoot. I just get so excited to get those out there, plus I've been told that they are always anxiously waiting and excited to get their photos after seeing their sneaks.
Editing time is 3-4 weeks during a slow season. During busy season it's more like 6-8 sometimes longer depending on the volume of edits I have. I'm always transparent with times though.
I'm not made of sugar so shooting in the rain or that pretty drizzling of rain is always ok with me.
But for Seniors I know having your hair and makeup done and being in the rain won't always work!
If bad weather happens, the wind is too intense(I like windy shoots but sometimes too much is too much) or anything like that we will have to figure out a day that fits into both schedules.
I like to start booking in the spring and getting shoots scheduled. May/June is the best time to get on my schedule.
My new timeline for senior photos is from April-December. Spring photos must be booked the spring prior to your graduating year in order to have spring photos.
I'm a fan of all 4 seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring.
Most all Seniors want to have a shoot in the summer because that weather is ideal for sun dresses or t-shirts/tank tops and shorts. The river is one of the top spots for the summer, or those open fields getting that gorgeous golden glow in the evenings.
Fall is a second favorite, those fall colors are always a favorite of mine. The fall sun is so much different than the summer sun as well, plus overcast days are my favorite because it is a natural filter meaning: you'll look amazing.
Winter: Well, it's cold, I'm not a fan of being cold but the snow is a natural highlighter paired with the overcast filter...it's perfect. Cold, but perfect conditions.
Spring: The greens, the fluffy clouds and all the flowers blooming. Spring is one of my favorites and I will always be up for shooting during that season.
That's totally up to you. I've had shoots with a parent there and I've had them without a parent there. Most times, you'll be more comfortable without mom or dad there watching. You can be yourself fully, but then again, I've had kids that don't even care and are themselves no matter what.
I will always encourage you to let your parent be there at least once, because this is a big part of their lives as well. Their baby is about to be a Senior and it's a special time for them. I always as them for help with BTS photo/videos.
Bringing a friend is always a plus too, if you're not wanting a parent there. They will help make you laugh and bring out the side of you they see daily that I want to capture.
At the end of the day, these are your photos and do what makes you comfortable.
