Allow me to introduce myself.
I’m a German-born, Kansas-raised mom of six, with one angel, now living in north central Idaho surrounded by mountains and beautiful, clear rivers.
I’m a lover of sunsets, the smell of rain before and after it falls, and those dark, cozy, dreary days. Give me a blanket, my comfort shows on repeat, and some good music (which truly feeds my soul), and I’m right at home. I’m also a total animal lover—so if you’re thinking about bringing your pet to your session, I will absolutely encourage it.
I’ve been told I’m a little sassy with a quick wit—but I just call it Midwestern charm. It definitely shows up at every session. I’m unapologetically a bit loud, with a twang that comes out the more we shoot, and I’m always cheering people on, hyping them up, and making sure they feel amazing in front of the camera. Truly, I’m your biggest hype person—and you might just leave your session with a confidence you didn’t know you had.
My love for photography started when I was young—it was my way of escaping and seeing the world differently. I always had a camera with me through high school and college, and I started my business in 2004, making it official in 2013.
Over the years, I’ve found my passion in senior portraits. I love creating sessions that are completely personalized—letting each Senior’s personality shine through in a way that feels natural and true to them. It’s truly my niche. A close second is couples sessions—I say it all the time, but I love capturing love. The real, genuine, unfiltered kind. And of course, families hold a special place in my heart, especially knowing how often moms are the ones behind the camera. They deserve to be in the memories too.
I genuinely love every aspect of photography and offer a variety of sessions, including seniors, couples, engagements, families, maternity, and creative portraits. While my site focuses on senior photography, I’m always open to other sessions—so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Photography, for me, is deeply personal. I’ve experienced many ups and downs in life, including the loss of my son. One of the greatest gifts I have are the photographs taken during that time. They allow me to feel those moments again—the emotions, the connection, even the smallest details. Those images mean everything to me.
That’s why what I do matters so much. I want to give my clients more than just photos. I want to give you something you can hold onto—images that bring you back to a moment, a feeling, a memory. Something that lasts not just for today, but for a lifetime and beyond.
And don’t worry—I’ll make sure we have fun along the way. I’ll get you laughing, relaxed, and yes… even the most stubborn ones usually admit they had a good time.
Every session is just as important to me as it is to you, and I would truly love to be part of capturing your story.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for being here. I look forward to meeting you and creating something meaningful together.
xoxo,
Nicole Hill
